Fans have reacted after Cillian Murphy asks if he 'should sing a rebel song' as he gushes over BAFTA win.
Murphy made his debut in Enda Walsh's 1996 play Disco Pigs, a role he later reprised in the 2001 screen adaptation.
Murphy received the award for Best Actor for his role in Oppenheimer at the British Film and Television Awards last night.
Speaking about his pride in being Irish a smiley Murphy says to the crowd “shall I sing a rebel song?."
Social media users have reacted to the interaction.
One user said: "Irish and proud to be… “should I sing a rebel song? Hehehe…” I love him!"
Pondering on the win Murphy said he was “little overwhelming” as he said hello to all fans and family back home in Cork.
Murphy made his debut in Enda Walsh's 1996 play Disco Pigs, a role he later reprised in the 2001 screen adaptation.
Murphy began his collaboration with filmmaker Christopher Nolan in 2005, playing Scarecrow in The Dark Knight trilogy (2005–2012) as well as appearing in Inception (2010) and Dunkirk (2017).
