Rhasidat Adeleke just misses out on medal in 400m Olympic final

The Irish runner came fourth in the Women's 400m final in Stade de France
Rhasidat Adeleke has just missed out on an Olympic medal as she places fourth in the Womens 400m final in Paris.
The Tallaght woman clocked a time of 49.28 in the fourth lane at the Stade de France this Friday night, August 9, finishing in fourth place and a step (and one hundreth of a second) ahead of Britain's Amber Anning.
It's an incredible achievement for Adeleke regardless of bringing home any medal, as she's now the first Irish female to have raced in an Olympic sprint final.
Paulino Marileidy, of the Dominican Republic, took gold with a new Olympic record of 48.17, with silver for Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain in 48.53, while Natalia Kaczmarek took the bronze medallist in 48.98 for Poland.
