Ballymahon was buzzing with the Christmas spirit on Sunday last as crowds gathered in the town to start off the festive season.
It was a day full of celebrations as Santa Claus himself arrived to Bridgeways Family Resource Centre at 1pm to mingle with the children for a few hours.
The Garda Band went down very well later in the afternoon when they performed at the church and then the Convent Day Care Centre.
And the main event was at4.30pm as it started to get dark. Crowds made their way to the Community Library where Santa and his helpers officially switched on the Christmas lights, heralding the start of the Christmas season in Ballymahon.
