Drag Queen of Longford could become an annual event following a successful show in the Longford Arms on Friday night.
This year's event saw Dylan Kelly crowned Drag Queen of Longford after nine queens battled it out for the coveted title.
“It was a great night - very entertaining. I knew the lads who were in it and I saw them come in and I didn’t know whether it was women coming in or not,” laughed organiser, Paul Hennessy.
“They were really well done. It was brilliant craic.
“We’re thinking of doing it again next year and making it an annual thing, but we’ll start planning it earlier.”
The event was a fundraiser for this year's St. Mel's Musical Society Production, Sister Act, which hits the Backstage Theatre in April. See www.backstage.ie.
