Irish charity Fighting Blindness is launching its second annual Vision Walk. The event is supported by Fighting Blindness’ ambassadors; former Irish and Lions rugby star Shane Byrne, former Offaly GAA hero Seamus Darby and Darndale community worker and football enthusiast Tommy Daly.
Vision Walk is a four day walking festival taking place from Thursday 17 October until Sunday 20 October in Marbella, Spain.
Fighting Blindness is inviting members of the public to take part and raise vital funds for finding a cure for blindness. A quarter of a million Irish people live with blindness or visual impairment1, yet 75-80%2 of blindness is preventable
Vision Walk Participants cover a distance of 20 to 30 kilometres per day along spectacular walking routes taking in coast and countryside views.
The event has a large social aspect with an opening party on the first day of the festival. Live music is on offer every evening and restaurants in the historic city centre of Marbella offer daily deals for participants.
If you are interested in signing up to participate in Vision Walk Marbella 2019 please contact Tim in the Fighting Blindness fundraising department on 01-6789004 or by email at tim.ocarroll@fightingblindness.ie.
