Recent Deaths in Longford

Jimmy Brady, No.111 Teffia Park, Longford Town, Longford

The recent death has occurred on Monday, November 21, of Jimmy Brady, No.111 Teffia Park, Longford, in the wonderful care of the staff of Padre Pio Ward, Saint Joseph's Hospital, Dublin Road, Longford in his 98th year.

Husband of the late Monica and father of the late Tom. Deeply regretted by his loving sons Jimmy, Raymond and Anthony, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nephew, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Removal on Thursday morning November 24 to Saint Mel's Cathedral, Longford for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

 

Rita Brady (née Teyhan), Reading, England and late of, Cliffoney, Sligo / Edgeworthstown, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Sunday, November 13 of Rita Brady (nee Teyhan), Reading, England and late of Cliffoney, Sligo/ Edgeworthstown, Co Longford, peacefully at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.

Predeceased by her husband Frank, late of Carnan, Edgeworthstown.

Sadly missed by her loving sister Babbie, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing in St Joseph's Hospital Chapel, Dublin Road, Longford on Saturday morning November 26 from 10am with Prayers at 10.30am followed by removal to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, Co Longford arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Directions Sligo/Ardagh: Follow signs for Ardagh at 3rd roundabout on N4 Longford bypass.

 

Mary (Mae) Burke (née Harte), Newtownbond, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford / Mullingar,  Co Westmeath

The recent death has occurred on Tuesday, November 22 of Mary (Mae) Burke (nee Harte) Newtownbond, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford/ Mullingar, Co Westmeath, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Pat, sisters Kathleen (U.S.A.) and Bridget,brothers Johnny, Eamonn and Jimmy and her nephew Martin. She will be sadly missed by her son Michael daughter in law Noeleen, grandaughters Nicola and Michelle, great-grandson Darragh, sister Judy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

Reposing at her home until removal on Thursday evening November 24 to St. James's church Clonbroney to arrive at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday morning November 25 at 10.30am, followed by burial in Newtownforbes Old Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

 

Anne Connolly (née Dunleavy), Knightswood, Ballinafid, Multyfarnham, Westmeath

The recent death occurred on Wednesday, November 23, of Anne Connolly (nee Dunleavy) (T.O.S.F.) - Knightswood, Ballinafid, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath (peacefully) in her 95th year in the loving care of her devoted family and the Matron and staff of the Inny Unit, Cluain Lir, Mullingar. Predeceased by her husband Jim; she will be sadly missed by her daughter Bridie Mallon (Granard), her sons Jimmy, Michael, Francis, Brendan, Oliver, John, Gerry, Patrick and Declan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home, Mullingar on Friday, November 25 from 4pm to 6.30pm followed by Removal to St Nicholas' Church, Multyfarnham arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 26 at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please; donations, if desired, to The Carers Association, 7 St John's Terrace, Blackhall, Mullingar.

 

 

Ryan Doyle, Ballinamore, Leitrim / Edenderry, Offaly

The recent death has occurred on Tuesday, November 22 of Ryan Doyle, Ballinamore, Leitrim / Edenderry, Offaly. Deeply regretted by his loving parents Tim and Tracey, brother Sean and sister Leagh, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Larkin's Funeral Home, Edenderry, Co. Offaly from 6.30pm on Thursday, November 24 with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, November 25 at 11am in St Mary's Church, Edenderry, Co Offaly, followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Edenderry.

 

Paddy McArdle, Cormaglove, Newtowncashel, Longford

The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, November 23 in Mullingar General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, of Paddy McArdle, Cormaglove, Newtowncashel, Longford. Paddy will be sadly missed by his wife Bernie, daughters Sharon, Dymphna and Patricia, sons John, Jason and Mel, brothers Sonny, Michael (Dublin) and Liam, sisters Bridgie, Annie-May and Eileen, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandkids Chloe, Keane, Scott, Tyler, Kayla, Rory, Danicka, Bradan and Donnacha, nieces, nephews, neighbours and his many friends.

Paddy's remains will be reposing in Connell's Funeral Chapel, Church St, Battery Rd, Longford, on Thursday, November 24 from 6pm until 9pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal to arrive at St Mary's Church, Newtowncashel, on Friday, November 25 for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.

 

 

Marie McCabe, Drumlion, Ballinagh, Cavan / Lucan, Dublin

The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, November 23 at St James' Hospital, Dublin of Marie McCabe, Drumlion, Ballinagh, Co Cavan and Lucan, Co Dublin.Beloved daughter of the late John Mc Cabe. Sadly missed by her loving mother Peggy, brother Gerard, sister-in-law Catherine, cousin Dolores, aunt, niece Orla, nephew Darragh, her relatives, neighbours and friends.May she rest in peace.

Reposing at the McCabe family home, Drumlion, from 6pm on Thursday evening, November 24 until removal on Friday evening, November 25 to arrive St Michael's Church, Potahee, at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, November 26 at 11am. Burial afterwards at Potahee New Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Leukaemia Research, c/o funeral director or any family member.
