Tidy Village Committee

Many thanks to everyone involved in the filming of the “Longford County Matters” programme which aired on Saturday evening. It provided a great overview of what has been achieved so far and will hopefully encourage some new members of our community to get involved for the future.

Se Cairde

Congratulations to Laura Pakenham, Grace Ross and all the members of Se Cairde who have been selected to perform on the Late Late Toy Show. This is a huge platform for this up and coming group to showcase their talents and we wish them all the best.

Streete Wildlife Club

The club held its’ annual members clay shoot on the 24th October last and the following are the results - Overall High Gun: Padraig McGauran, Stand 1: Pat Denning, Stand 2: Joe Kelly, Stand 3: Tommy Denning, Stand 4: Willie Campbell, Stand 5: Michael Campbell, 15DTL Joint winners: Pat Denning and Tommy Denning. The prizes were presented at the club presentation night held on last Sunday night in Murphy’s Crossroads Inn, Lisryan. Full details from the presentation night will be in next weeks notes. The club open Winter/Christmas League 2015 will start on Thursday next 11th November in the Club Shooting Grounds at 7pm with last cards at 8.15pm. The shoot will be run over six weeks with the final on the 17th December. For further details please contact Willie on 086-2582370.

Streete Lotto

Numbers drawn in Streete Parish Park Lotto on Monday, 26th October were 6, 13, 15 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. €40 winners were: J. R. Mannion, J.M. Newman, Coolnagun and Séamus McManus. Next Lotto draw is on Monday, 9th November when the jackpot will be €7,600. Thank you for supporting our community.
