The late John Joe Lyons

John Joe Lyons, Culliagh, Scramogue passed away very suddenly last week. We his neighbours and his family are shocked by his untimely passing. We will have a full obiturary notice next week. May he rest in Peace.

Folk Group

Tarmonbarry Folk Group is seeking new members from Whitehall\Scramogue Region to join in the Parish Music Ministry. Practice takes place every Friday at 8.30pm in Whitehall.

U-12 Skills Challenge

Well done to Shane McGarry, John Mulvihill, Conor Murtagh and Callum Deehan from St Barry’s U12 boys squad, who won the Co. Roscommon Skills Challenge last week. The lads competed against players from clubs across Roscommon, in set of skills challenges against the clock. The boys now travel to the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence on this Friday to compete in the Connacht finals. Good luck boys!

Rosary Prayer.

The Rosary will be recited every Saturday and Sunday prior to Mass in Scramogue and Whitehall Churches.

Hospice Cycle in Ruskey

Mayo\Roscommon Hospice Ruskey Branch 100k, 50k and 20k Cycle Race takes place in Ruskey on Saturday, 10th October. Under 12s must be accompanied by a parent. For further details contact Teresa on 087.6575272.

Half Marathon

The 32nd annual Tarmonbarry Half Marathon and 8K Race us coming soon. The races take place on Sunday October 11th 2015 at 10:45am. Entry Fees are Half Marathon €25 (online entry), €30 (on race day), 8K Race €20. Both routes start and finish from the St Barry’s GAA Centre, Tarmonbarry.


A Mass time survey is taking place in the Parish. Please take a form from your Church and participate in the Mass time survey being carried out in the Parish. Bring back form and place in box provided in Church.
