Longford man injured in N4 incident

A north Longford man is recuperating in hospital this week after he was knocked down on the main N4 outside Edgeworthstown at the weekend.

The 32-year-old sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a car at Kilsallagh just after 4am on Sunday.

The Leader understands the man, who is a native of the north Longford area, is currently receiving treatment by orthopaedic specialists at Tullamore's Midland Regional Hospital for a series of broken bones which stemmed from Sunday's incident.
