Voting is continuing in the General Election across Ireland this evening. Turnout in Longford is around 45% in urban areas and 35% in rural areas with a surge in voting expected before polling stations close at 10pm.
Counting for the Longford-Westmeath constituency commences in Kenagh Count Centre tomorrow morning at 9am. The Longford Leader will be there to report on the weekend’s events as they happen.
