PICTURES: All the fun from Longford's National Play Day

Longford families enjoyed a morning of fun and activities recently as National Play Day got underway at Ballymahon Vocational School.

Hosted by Longford County Council in partnership with Healthy Ireland, Longford Sports Partnership and other local organisations, this free community event featured music, games, sweet treats and a whole range of activities for all ages.

The aim of the event was to celebrate the importance of play as well as to encourage children and their families to get outdoors, be active and connect with others in a fun and inclusive environment.
