Competition: Young photographers invited to capture the beauty of Longford

The Explore Longford Young Photographer’s Competition is open to children aged between 6-13. Closing date for entries is Monday, August 31.
Young photographers across Longford are being invited to showcase their creativity in a competition celebrating the county’s views, landmarks, towns, villages and hidden gems.
Longford Libraries is calling on children aged between 6 and 13 to enter the Explore Longford Young Photographer’s Competition by submitting a photograph taken somewhere within the county.
The competition, which is being promoted as an opportunity for families to get outdoors and explore the county together, also offers young people an ideal opportunity to explore Longford through the lens of a camera and to share their favourite places with others.
There are a number of prizes on offer, including National Book Tokens for the top entries.
Winning photographs will also be printed as official greeting cards, while selected entries will be showcased in a special exhibition at Longford Library.
To enter, children must submit one high-quality photograph, taken in Longford, by emailing it to [email protected]
Entries should include the child’s name and age, the location where the photograph was taken, and the contact details for a parent or guardian.
The closing date for entries is Monday, August 31.
