Dramatic footage has emerged has across social media platforms of the fire that engulfed the Grafton Court area of Longford town overnight.
The scene of the blaze is currently preserved for forensic and technical examination.
A Garda spokesperson told Longford Live: "Residents in the overhead apartments were safely evacuated, and the fire was brought under control by local Fire Services. No injuries were reported."
