WATCH | Nathan Carter treats thousands of rain soaked Longford Summer Festival revellers to a rousing rendition of Wagon Wheel

Country music star Nathan Carter treated thousands of rain soaked Longford Summer Festival revellers and fans to a rousing rendition of Wagon Wheel last night, Friday.

With the 'reliable Irish summer' delivering incessant rain, Nathan lifted the spirits of the thousands of people that crammed into Ballymahon Street for a sensational second night of the four night Longford Summer Festival.

With thanks to Kevin and Teresa McKiernan of The Market Bar, Longford Leader / Longford Live had a bird's eye vantage point as Nathan performed a rousing rendition of his well known hit, Wagon Wheel. And we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!!

Supporting Nathan Carter was local singer Bríd Shaughnessy making it a memorable night in the rain.

The Longford Summer Festival opened on Thursday with Johnny Brady performing on Main Street, supported by Clodagh Lawlor.  Tonight the focus will again be on Main Street as Bagatelle and Friends take centre stage with support from the brilliant Brendan Kelly and his band.

The Summer Festival concludes on Sunday, July 16 with Audio Pilot and Ruaile Buaile set to light up the Ballymahon Street stage.
