Longford Leader reporter Deniese O’Flaherty talks to Longford Town captain Chris Deans after his side secured a late 2-2 draw with Bray Wanderers in the first leg of the Airtricity League promotion/relegation play-off on Monday night.

Town supporters found their side trailing 2-0 after the opening 45 minutes, with Bray’s veteran striker Jason Byrne finding the net twice to give his side what seemed to be a comfortable advantage, while Longford Town manager Tony Cousins was forced to make early changes after Des Hope and Gary Shaw picked up injuries. However, the second half saw Longford Town return the field with renewed determination, and goals from Dean Ebbe and in-form striker David O’Sullivan swept away Bray’s two goal cushion to set up a winner-takes-all encounter at City Calling Stadium on Friday evening.
