These men are about to make the 36 hour journey from Longford to Poznan to follow Trap’s army at Euro 2012.
Joe Bernie, Michael McKeon and John Deane have their van decked out, a Euro 2012 playlist, an unbending and rock-solid driving rota, an Irish flag emblazoned with the Mickey Finn’s logo for some reason, and tickets to all three group matches.
From Longford to Rosslare, from Rosslare to Roscoff, through the 20 hour journey from Roscoff to Poznan, and from Poznan to Gdansk and back, they will be blogging on their progress for the Longford Leader.
They’re cautiously optimistic about Ireland’s chances of progrssing to the quarter-finals with Joe predicting a haul of five points from the group stage (a 1-0 win and two 0-0 draws).
