Paddy Christie's Longford bowed out of the Tailteann Cup as they suffered a 1-12 to 1-20 defeat away to Down in the Preliminary Quarter-final. Longford led 1-8 to 0-8 at half time thanks to a Joe Hagan goal and midway during the second half the sides were deadlocked at 1-11 apiece before Down finished quite strongly and powered their way to an emphatic win.
Daire Brennan / Sportsfile was in Pairc Esler, Newry for last Saturday evening's encounter and he captured this gallery of pictures. Despite the disappointing result, we hope you enjoy the photos. And don't forget to tag and share with your friends!
