Joseph Farrell recently embarked on a journey to Greensbour in North Carolina with his parents, Joe and Mary Farrell.
The youngster, who hails from Cartronawar in Ardagh, came third in under 11 World Irish Dancing Championships in the US.
Joseph is a pupil of the Doolan Cullen school of Irish dancing and he is thrilled to take his prize back to Longford.
