The Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2019 was recently launched by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring TD.

Applications from towns and villages can range from €20,000 to a maximum of €100,000. Funding of up to €200,000 will also be considered for a limited number of projects, which can deliver exceptionally strong economic benefits to a town and its outlying areas.

Selection of projects under the Scheme will be by means of a competitive process. Final project selection will be made by the Department of Rural and Community Development on the basis of applications submitted by the Local Authorities. Longford County Council is seeking expressions of interest from groups who may have a suitable project for consideration. All Expressions of Interest will be assessed based on the priorities as contained in the Scheme Outline.
