A table quiz fundraiser will be held at The Chestnut Tree pub in Killashee on this Friday night November 21 with Jimmy Flanagan the quiz master on the night.

The event is being organised by the Killashee Roman Catholic Committee, to assist with the upkeep of the Killashee Cemetery throughout the coming year.

The table quiz will begin at 8.30pm and the price of entry will be €40 for a team of four, while there will also be a raffle with a variety of prizes on offer.

There has already been a significant amount of work carried out such as regular grass cutting and the trimming back of vegetation on the walls trimmed back, removal and disposal of waste no dumping signs erected, main gates removed and brought for restoration works, concrete slab laid at main entrance gate, piers restored and many more projects in the pipeline.

The committee has established a WhatsApp group and people with family members laid to rest here, or others who own plots, are encouraged to join the WhatsApp group and they are also invited to attend Friday night's table quiz. The benefit of doing so is people can be easily informed in real time of grass cutting events and they can lend much appreciated support.
