A new book, 'Ardagh, County Longford - Our Estate Village and Our Residents, 1860-2026' by local authors, Úna Byrne and Mary Keegan Hynes was launched on Friday, October 23 in Ardagh Community Centre.
The book includes a photograph of every house, along with family photographs shared by residents.
It also covers Ardagh House, the Fetherston family home, and the history of the village's churches and schools, including St Brigid’s Domestic Science College.
The book was launched by Tom Kenny of Kenny's Bookshop and Art Gallery, Galway, whose grandfather and great-grandfather lived in the village of Ardagh until 1921.
Longford Live photographer Shelley Corcoran captured this gallery of lovely photos from the book launch and we hope you enjoy them.
