The importance of a coaching structure is the key to development of Gaelic talent emerging in any county.

Longford has one of the best coaching structures in the land, relative to resources, and led by Damien Sheridan and Paddy O’Connor, a team of coaches are quietly working away, diligently developing the skills of the game of Gaelic Football.

Longford is to be applauded and now admired, by the talent constantly emerging.

Padraic Davis and his management team have unearthed several new names such as Joe Hagan, Peter Lynn etc., who are a product of the good coaching scheme that the county can boast about.

Once again, last weekend Longford clocked up a huge result, no matter how you look at it, and are now at the top of the League table. Maybe best nobody should get excited just yet, but it augurs well for the future.
