Longford Leader to receive 2018 Aldi Community Games Media Award for online coverage

The Longford Leader will be presented with a 2018 Aldi Community Games Media Award for its online coverage of the organisation at an awards ceremony this weekend.

The Aldi Community Games Area, Volunteer and Media Awards take place on Saturday, December 1 in the Cavan Crystal Hotel.

The Longford Leader has been selected as the Online Media Award winner.

Longford Leader Managing Editor Alan Walsh said it was a great honour to be chosen for the award.

The Ballymahon/Forgney Community Games committee (Large Area) and Dromard Community Games committee (Small Area), Youth Volunteer Ollie Duffy (Dromard) and Adult Volunteer Mark Leonard (Killoe), will also be presented with awards.

The superb Ballymahon/Forgney committee were recognised as the top area in the country in both 2015 and 2016.
