Conor has inter-county experience with Longford and is the holder of two O'Byrne Cup medals.

Conor's home club Fr Manning Gaels have expressed their pride and extended congratulations to him.

"Well done to Conor Keenan who has made the New York squad for the opening round of the Connacht Championship next week against Roscommon.

"Conor is following in the distinguished footsteps of fellow Gaels men Des Dillon, Ciarán Gillooley and Pat McWade who all previously had the honour of playing intercounty football for New York, and we wish him the best of luck."
