Melissa O'Kane in the Shamrock Rovers, Republic of Ireland and Athlone Town colours
Longford's Melissa O'Kane has rejoined Athlone Town AFC ahead of the 2026 season.
The Ardagh native previously played with Athlone Town in 2021 and 2022 before joining Shamrock Rovers, but she's back in the Midlands as John Sullivan's first new signing.
In June 2024 Melissa was voted Player of the Month with Shamrocks Rovers.
Athlone Town are the reigning League and WFAI Cup champions. Melissa's former team mate at Shamrock Rovers, Aimee Neal, is also joining Athlone.
