Defending champions Longford are through to the 2024 Leinster GAA Dioralyte O’Byrne Cup decider where they will face Dublin at O'Moore Park Portlaoise on Saturday, January 20, throw-in 4pm (live on TG4). First half goals by Jayson Matthews and Darren Gallagher helped Paddy Christie's side to a hard earned 2-14 to 1-14 victory over Colm O'Rourke's Meath in Friday evening's semi-final in Ashbourne.
Longford now have an 11th O'Byrne Cup Final appearance to look forward to. It will be their 4th time to feature in the final in the last ten years. They will be bidding for a fifth title, having been previously crowned champions in 1965, 2000, 2020 and 2023. Ramsey Cardy / Sportsfile attended Saturday's encounter and he captured this selection of great photographs. Don't forget to tag and share with your friends
