There were smiles all around on Saturday at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park as Paddy Christie's Longford, the reigning O'Byrne Cup champions, got their 2024 GAA season off to winning start against Westmeath. Longford triumphed by 0-9 to 0-7 and the win sets them up for a semi-final tilt with Meath next Friday.

Ben McShane / Sportsfile attended Saturday's encounter and he captured this selection of great photographs. Don't forget to tag and share with your friends.
