Mullahoran handball star Paul Brady is in seventh heaven this week on foot of yet another US Nationals title triumph.
Brady easily brushed aside the challenge of Armagh’s Charly Shanks in Saturday evening’s final in Los Angeles, winning by the margin of 21-10 in both games.
Readily regarded as the game’s greatest ever performer, the son of Lilly and Cavan County Danny ‘The Gunner’, enjoyed a largely trouble free passage to the final, seeing off top Americans Andy Nett and David Fink in the process.
It’s the 32-year-old’s seventh USHA Four-Wall National Championships Men’s Open Singles title, to add to his Irish Senior Singles and Canadian Nationals victories earlier in the season.
