Longford's Orla Nevin and Clodagh Lohan starred as DCU were crowned Yoplait O’Connor Cup champions for the first time since 2018 with a 3-14 to 1-13 win over University of Limerick in the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome on Saturday last.
For Orla, who lined out at left half back and contributed a point to DCU's tally, it was her second All-Ireland success since December as she was also an integral cog in the Longford Slashers side that captured the All-Ireland Ladies Intermediate club championship title.
Grattans' Clodagh Lohan also impressed from her right half forward berth.
The Player of the Match was DCU's Kate Kenny, the Offaly girl racked up a 1-10 individual haul.
DCU, courtesy of Kenny's goal led by 1-8 to 1-7 at half time.
Second half goals by Tara Needham and Ciara Banville ensured DCU took the title for the fifth time.
