North Midlands Credit Union is now taking applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) due to an impending retirement.

THE ROLE:

This CEO role requires a focused, strategic leader who will ensure that North Midlands Credit Union is optimally positioned to address the needs of its members, in accordance with the organisation’s mission and values.

The role involves reporting to the Board and will be responsible for the efficient delivery of all operational activities of the Credit Union.

The CEO will be responsible for the implementation of policies, compliance and governance requirements relating to all of NMCU’s operations.

THE PERSON:

The appointed person will provide strategic leadership to the organisation and will work closely with all stakeholders to further develop NMCU and to achieve ambitious growth targets, in accordance with the Strategic Plan.

The CEO will represent the Credit Union in the public domain through appropriate media channels and community events.

Possessing significant insight into the opportunities and challenges within the Credit Union sector, the appointed person will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working within the Financial Services industry, 5 of which are at a senior management level.

A thorough understanding of relevant legislation (including Credit Union Acts, Consumer Protection Code, Data Protection, and Criminal Justice Act – Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing) would be an advantage.

This is a Pre-approved Control Function (PCF) under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness & Probity regime.
