‘AI: The Way Forward’, a seminar for small businesses to learn how to use artificial intelligence to gain competitive advantages, kicks off an exciting Longford Local Enterprise Week.

The event will include expert speakers including Longford-native broadcaster, editor, and artificial intelligence trailblazer Anne-Marie Tomchak.

It will be hosted by multimedia journalist and presenter with RTE Caroline Coleman, who will lead a panel discussion with CitySwift founder Alan Farrelly, LeanBPI Managing Director John O’Shanahan and Waypoint Software CEO Toby Farren.

‘AI: The Way Forward’ takes place in Backstage Theatre on Monday, 4 March from 12.30-2.30pm and is organised by Longford Local Enterprise Office, part of Longford County Council, and Longford Chamber. It is funded by Enterprise Ireland.

The event offers a chance for local businesses to gain valuable insights into the many straight-forward ways they can use AI to improve their business cost-effectively and efficiently. Lunch and networking opportunities will bring the event to a close.

Longford County Council Head of Enterprise Michael Nevin said, “Nobody knows yet where artificial intelligence is going to bring us but there is no doubt that it has the potential to revolutionise the way small and medium-sized companies operate. While it will bring challenges it can also help companies become leaner, more efficient, and more innovative.”
