With over 30 year experience each, Michael Lynch and Enda Flynn pride themselves on the high level of financial advice they impart to their clients. Flynn and Lynch Life and Pensions assist in all areas of financial planning to help secure financial stability and streamline money matters ensuring the maximum financial performance of assets.

Flynn & Lynch offer Financial Planning services to clients that takes into account all aspects of their life, including looking at future short, medium and long-term financial goals. Established in 2006 by Michael Lynch and Enda Flynn the two owners combine a wealth of experience in the financial services industry to provide a bespoke service for their clients.

As Longford's premier financial planner Flynn & Lynch specialise in pensions, protections and investments.

Enda Flynn, a Principal Officer and owner of Flynn & Lynch, explained how they engage with clients: “Once we have spent time discussing future plans we can set up a framework to start designing an investment strategy to meet the goals our service users want to achieve.”

Enda says the area of financial protection is something everyone must consider: “Statistically some of us will fall ill and be unable to work, others may pass away during their career or in early retirement. These unfortunate events create uncertainty around the household budget.”

Protection looks at the person, family and business and provides a bespoke risk analysis to assess suitable cover. Protection is about encouraging people to think about their life cover, serious illness cover and income protections: “Statistically it has been proved that most people do not have enough cover in place. Life assurance is used to protect against these potential risks, but there are many new products on the market that we bring to the attention of our service users,” Enda says.

“Aviva has a new service called Best Doctors. It can be added to any policy. Under its cover if any member of my family has a health issue, their file can be passed on to Best Doctors for assessment,” Enda outlines.

The Best Doctors Second Medical Opinion service is part of a protection policy. It's a worldwide network of over 50,000 leading medical specialists across 450 specialities, who have been identified through the medical profession’s largest ongoing peer-to-peer survey.

Enda says technology is transforming the industry: “That is free with the Aviva policy, as is digital doctor. Digital doctors are invaluable to people with busy lifestyles. Instead of queuing for hours to see a doctor, people can have a remote visit and get an email prescription, saving them time and money.”

Also covered in the policy is bereavement counselling and general counselling. The financial specialist says developments in online support will transform the industry and the cover provided by insurance companies.

Outside of protection Enda says all other areas of the business are also very busy: “As a specialists in investments we are noticing that many clients are emphasising their interest in sustainable, green investments, for example wind energy.”

Providing for post and pre-retirement pension investment is a vital consideration: “We advise how to get a better return on investments. We can manage investment funds, growing them and protecting them in challenging times requires expert advice on an ongoing basis. Active Investment Planning will help achieve future investment goals.”

Michael and Enda are both well known in the wider Longford community. The two men have strong links with local voluntary groups.

“We are conscious of our community responsibility,” Enda says, “We know the importance of supporting voluntary groups. We have in the past run very successful in-house fundraisers for Cian's Kennels and Bethany House. We sponsored the half time draw for Longford GAA, and we are active members of Club Longford. We also sponsor jerseys for Longford RFC. We like to support local communities, because we are conscious that they support us. We do these things as a way of acknowledging the importance of community and our dependence on the support of others.”

Both directors are involved in community voluntary groups: “Michael was Chairman of Ardagh Moydow GAA club for the past three years and continues to play a active role, I was Chair of Clonguish GAA, and am now chair of Clonguish Og, I am Chair of the Board of management of St Mels. We are very rooted in our communities.”
