Rhys Gorman out injured for Longford Town v Athlone in midlands derby

Ahead of Friday's Midlands Derby clash away to Athlone Town (kick-off 7.45pm), Longford Town boss Alan Mathews has announced that Rhys Gorman has failed to recover from the injury he picked up in last week's home defeat to Cobh Ramblers and will miss the big midlands derby. 

SSE Airtricity League First Division - Round 3 

The Town will also be without Striker Don Cowan and defender Noel Haverty as both will be out for at least the next 5 matches after the injuries they picked up in the opening game away to Shels.
