Longford Town back in action against Drogheda United in the Leinster Senior Cup

Working with the majority of the squawho finished last season with a fantastic five-in-a-row wins (including the fit again defender Jamie Egan), Longford Town FC manager Wayne Groves is preparing his players for the new season - starting with the Leinster Senior Cup clash against Drogheda United at Ratoath Harps FC (Co Meath) this Saturday. kick-off 3pm.

The following Tuesday night (January 20th), Longford take on Dublin non-league outfit Montpelier FC in Grangegorman and the concluding game in the group stage of the Leinster Senior Cup is against St Patrick's Athletic at the FAI National Training Centre on Saturday January 24th, kick-off 2pm.

Gone from the Town is the versatile Eric Yoro who has signed for fellow First Division club Treaty United.
