Longford Town crash to last gasp defeat

Longford Town must be wondering when their luck will change! On Friday night last at the Gortakeegan grounds they looked to be heading for a well deserved draw against Monaghan United but the home side snatch a dramatic last gasp winner deep into stoppage time.

Longford Town must be wondering when their luck will change! On Friday night last at the Gortakeegan grounds they looked to be heading for a well deserved draw against Monaghan United but the home side snatch a dramatic last gasp winner deep into stoppage time.

It was tough on the Town who played well throughout the game and deserved something. With a number of players injured and suspended this was always going to be a tough task for the Town against a side pushing for promotion under the guidance of Roddy Collins.
