Longford teenager called up to prestigious German football camp

Longford’s fine tradition for producing football stars of the future was given a further tonic this week after local teenager, Sean Costello was called up to a prestigious training camp with German giants Bayern Munich.

Longford’s fine tradition for producing football stars of the future was given a further tonic this week after local teenager, Sean Costello was called up to a prestigious training camp with German giants Bayern Munich.

The fifteen-year-old St Mel’s student was one of four Irish teenagers chosen to take part in the five day Allianz Junior Football Camp at the home of the European soccer heavyweights next month.

Over 2,500 teenagers from 16 different countries including Ireland, Brazil, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Portugal applied for one of 50 slots on the much vaunted camp.
