Longford Rugby Girls to represent Ireland at Defence Forces World Cup

Longford RFC Senior Ladies players Pte Jasmine Smyth and Cpl Katie Lee (pictured) will proudly represent both club and country as they travel to the UK this Thursday for the International Defence Rugby Competition (IDRC) Rugby World Cup. 

Both serving members of the Defence Forces, Smyth and Lee, have been key figures in Longford’s success on the pitch, bringing skill, dedication, and leadership to the squad.

The girls selection for the prestigious tournament is a testament to their hard work and passion for the game, and they carry the best wishes of teammates, coaches, and the local community as they take on the world stage.
