Mary Edina Gibbins (nee O'Connor), Abbeycartron Lane, Longford town
The death occurred of Mary Edina Gibbins (nee O'Connor), Abbeycartron Lane, Longford town on Saturday, February 17 after a short illness in Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home Kildare Previously of Teffia Park, Longford and Ballinamuck, County Longford.
Beloved mother of Maura Farrell (Dublin) and Liam (Owen Sound, Canada) and dear departed daughter Eileen. Dear sister of Imelda and departed sister Betty and departed brothers Fr Tom and Paddy. Sadly missed by her loving family, her son in law Eamonn, grandchildren Hannah, Brendan, Conor, Danny and Rachel and their spouses, great grandchildren Dylan, Cara and Kian, brothers in law, sisters in  law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, good friends and neighbours. Rest in peace.
Reposing in Saint Joseph's Hospital Chapel, Dublin Road, Longford this Wednesday evening February 21 from 4.30pm with removal to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 22 at 11am.  Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery.

Ben ‘Bernard’ Hughes, Creenagh, Newtownforbes, Longford
The death occurred on Monday, February 19 of Ben Hughes in St Joseph's Palliative Care Unit, Longford after a short illness peacefully in the care of his loving family.
Predeceased by his loving wife Christina, his two infant sons, his sister May, brothers Eddie, Jack, Joe and Brendan. Ben will be sadly missed by his sons Garry and Bernard, his sister Loretta Carney (Knock), his daughter in law's Eileen and Mary, his grandchildren James and Mark, his nieces and nephews, cousins and all his neighbours and friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at the home of his son Garry, Cahanagh, Longford on Tuesday, February 20 from 5pm to 10pm and also on Wednesday, February 21 from 12pm to 3pm. Removal on Wednesday, February 21 to arrive at St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes for 7pm Prayers. Funeral mass on Thursday morning February 22 at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family time from 3pm on Wednesday please.

Mai Kenny (née Ward), Killashee Street, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, on Saturday, February 17 of Mai Kenny (née Ward), Killashee Street, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved wife of the late Dan and grandmother of the late Daniel. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family ,daughter Brenda (Quinn), sons Aidan, Sean and Donie, grandchildren Sarah, Aaron, Shane, Lorna, Vivien, Claire and Jack, daughters in law, sister in law Joan, relatives and friends. May she Rest In Peace.
Removal on Tuesday, February 20 to arrive at St Mel’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery.

Paddy Donohoe, 25 Trumra Road, Granard, Longford / Gowna, Cavan
The death occurred, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital following a short illness, on Sunday, February 18 of Paddy Donohoe, 25 Trumra Road, Granard, Longford and formerly of Aughavains, Loch Gowna, Co Cavan.
Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by his brother; Paul, sister-in-law, Ita, niece, Rosie, grandnieces, cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends. RIP.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Cavan, this Tuesday, February 20 from 5pm to 7pm with removal to the Church Of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna, for Requiem Mass on Wednesday, February 21 at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Donations, if desired, to Cavan Palliative Care, care of Whites Funeral Directors or any family member.

Isabel Regan (née Connolly), Crenard, Ballinagh, Cavan
The death occurred on Monday, February 19 of Isabel Regan (nee Connolly) Crenard, Ballinagh, Co Cavan, peacefully at her home and in the loving care of her family.
Beloved wife of the late Thos Regan and devoted mother of Tim, Nora, Mel and Tom. Sadly missed by her loving family, her daughters-in-law and adored grandchildren Tommy, Susan, Ann Marie, David, Sinéad, Ciarán, Eoin, the late Gerard and her great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and all her extended Family. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan on Wednesday, February 21 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 22 at 11am in St Felim’s Church, Ballinagh followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private at all times please.


Teresa McGowan (née Hoare), Cloonshannagh Rooskey, Rooskey, Roscommon / Longford
The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the matron and staff of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, and surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 17 of Teresa McGowan (née Hoare), Cloonshannagh Rooskey, Rooskey, Roscommon / Longford. Predeceased by her late husband Tom Frank. Deeply regretted by her sons Frank and Thomas, daughters Elizabeth (Dixon) and Breda (Hughes), sons-in-law John and Tom, daughter-in-law Mary, sister Annie, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 20 at 12 noon in the Sacred Heart Church, Whitehall, followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.

Kathleen Hyland, Lower Derrin, Ballinagh, Cavan
The death occurred, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, on Saturday, February 17 of Kathleen Hyland, Derrin Lower, Ballinagh, Co Cavan and late of Wolfe Tone Street, Cavan. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing brother Danny and the Hyland families of Derrin and Cavan Road, Ballinagh.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, February 20 in St Felim's Church, Ballinagh at 11am. Burial afterwards in Drumavaddy Cemetery.

Bridget Hynes (née Devine), Lisroyne, Strokestown, Roscommon / Rathnew, Wicklow
The death occurred, peacefully in her 100th year and in the loving care of all the staff at Oakwood Private Nursing Home, Roscommon, on Sunday, February 18 of Bridget Hynes (née Devine), Lisroyne, Strokestown, Roscommon / Rathnew, Wicklow. Predeceased by her husband Frank (former Chairman of Wicklow County Council). Much loved mother of Patricia Brooks (England), Gerard (Wicklow), Bernard (Wicklow) and Marcella Lennon (Tulsk). She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing family, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen (Dublin), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Removal on Tuesday, February 20, to Strokestown Parish Church to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in KIlcooley Cemetery, Co Roscommon.

Keelan Gaffney, Lisamadaun, Gorvagh, Mohill, Leitrim
The death occurred on Saturday, February 17 of Keelan Gaffney, Lisamadaun, Gorvagh, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Husband of the late Rose. Keelan died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his brothers John, James, Frank, sisters Maureen and Elizabeth. Sadly missed by his brothers Joe (Luton), Michael  (Gloucester), Paddy (Leixlip), sisters Bridie (Boston), Annie (Kilmore),brother in law, sisters in law nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Removal on Tuesday morning February 20 to St Patrick's Church, Mohill, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donations, if desired, to North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo.

Una Gilsenan (nee Keegan), Teddington, South West London & Thomastown, Killucan, Co Westmeath
The death occurred,  peacefully, surrounded by her family after a brave fight with cancer, on Tuesday, February 13 of Una Gilsenan (nee Keegan) – of Teddington, South West London, originally from Thomastown, Killucan, Co Westmeath.
Greatly missed by her husband Sean, family and friends. May Una rest in peace.
Funeral Mass on Friday, February 23 at 11am at St Joseph’s Church, Rathwire, Co Westmeath, followed by interment of ashes in the adjoining cemetery.
