Warmest congratulations and best wishes to Granard librarian Rosemary Gaynor, who retired on Friday, August 28, after an incredible 41 years of service.

There was a wonderful turnout of family, friends, representatives from the various schools and teachers, work colleagues and former colleagues from the Library Services in County Longford to mark Rosemary’s retirement.

A number of presentations were made to Rosemary in recognition of her outstanding contribution over the years.

Longford County Councillors Pádraig McNamara, Colin Dalton and Turlough McGovern also joined in celebrating Rosemary’s remarkable career.

Granard correspondent for the Longford Leader, Maura Sheridan wrote, “The community would like to sincerely thank Rosemary for her 41 years of dedicated and wonderful work. She has been a tremendous support to countless groups, organisations and individuals in the community and will be dearly missed by all those she assisted throughout the years.”

We wish Rosemary a long, healthy and very happy retirement. May the years ahead bring her plenty of time to relax, enjoy life and spend time with family and friends.

Congratulations, Rosemary, and thank you for everything!
