Roadworks in Longford

Expect short delays until resurfacing work is completed tomorrow evening, Friday 14

If you're heading into Longford Town over the next two days, expect and allow for short delays, Longford County Council has warned.

Today, Thursday November 13, and tomorrow, Friday 14, traffic measures will be in place while road resurfacing works are carried out on the old N5 – Richmond Street/Connaught Road between St Michaels Road and the Longford Arms Hotel.

The work will take place from 8am until 5pm on both days and is not expected to extend past the 5pm cut off point tomorrow evening.

The town centre road will remain open throughout today and tomorrow but short traffic delays should be expected as a stop-go system and/or temporary traffic lights may be used during the works.
