Volunteer Fair to take place in Longford's Temperance Hall

National Volunteering Week 2019 takes place from May 13 – 19 next and Longford Volunteer Centre have organised events to celebrate volunteers and show people how they can get involved.

“Volunteering is an intrinsic part of Irish life. It affects us all whether or not we are volunteers ourselves,” explained Terri Doherty, Longford Community Resources clg. Volunteer Centre Co-ordinator.

She added, “We want to get to the heart of communities across Longford and hear from volunteers and the organisations that involve them.”

You can find out about volunteering and have the opportunity to speak directly to local volunteer organisations at the Longford Volunteer Fair in the Temperance Hall on Thursday, May 16 from 12 noon to 2pm.
