It was a good day for Kenagh village last Friday as new speed signs were switched on to encourage drivers to slow down upon entry to the village.

Cllr Colm Murray raised the issue with Ballymahon MD in 2018 because “traffic was coming in at quite a belt on both sides of the village”. A second sign will be erected on the Ballymahon side of the village.

Pictured at the switching on of the light last Friday were members of the Green Schools Committee of St Dominic's NS Kenagh with area engineer Paul Newell and Cllr Colm Murray.
