Project Ireland 2040:  Future of Longford as a main player in attracting investment  solidified - Cllr Micheál Carrigy

Longford Fine Gael general election candidate, Cllr Micheál Carrigy, has said 'the future of Longford as a main player in attracting investment was solidified', following the launch of Project Ireland 2040 in Sligo.

Upbeat Cllr Carrigy posted a video and message on his Facebook page from the launch.

"With the upgrade of the M4, a new tourism brand for the Midlands announced and further funding available through rural regeneration, Longford is being placed firmly at the heart of the country and received a special mention at the launch."

He added, "Never before, even when money was plentiful, has such confidence been placed in our county. Lots to do but now we have the means to do it. #confidenceinlongford"
