The deadline is fast approaching for Bus Éireann’s Go Places competition for Transition Year students, in which they are asking TY students from Longford and all over the country to get creative in making memories about their journey to school.
With just over six weeks to go to the deadline on
Whether you travel by foot, bike, car or bus – Bus Éireann want to hear about your journey. Where do you go? How do you spend that time? Who do you travel with? Who are the people and what are the places in your community that you pass by every day, and what are their stories?
Three lucky winners will receive an iPad and the overall winner will also receive a day trip to Tayto Park for their class with entry and private coach transport to and from their school included.
Bus Éireann is proud to have operated the School Transport Scheme on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills for 50 years. Every day in Longford alone, it transports 2,272 pupils to and from school on 63 buses under the scheme. That breaks down into 101 school runs.
Nicola Cooke, Media and PR Manager with Bus Éireann said: “Our priority at Bus Éireann is helping people to make better connections and we take great pride in supporting thousands of students across the country in making their journey to school on a daily basis.
"School days are said to be amongst the best days of your life so, with that in mind, we are inviting TY students to get creative in making memories of their school journeys and to share them with us as part of our ‘Go Places’ competition.”
Go Places with Bus Éireann is open to all TY students from across the Republic of Ireland. Deadline for entries is March 16th, 2018. For more information visit www.goplaceswithbe.ie
