Sports day

Sports day

Bornacoola GAA hosted their annual sports and field day on Sunday last. The day started with a 5k walk/run followed by Mass and the usual sports events. There was a great turnout and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The day finished off with a tug-a-war where there were four teams competing for that title, St. Michael’s, St. Joseph’s, Dromod and Rooskey and the Dromod team captained by Niall O’Connor with team mates Robert Dobson, Seab Kilkenny, Anthony Rogan and Michael Duignan took the spoils after a very entertaining competition. Once again, thanks to all for the support and help on the day.

Cancer - we have all been touched by its devastating effects at some time in our lives, be it a family member or friend. Maybe now is the time. On Sunday, the 10th of August 2014 Annaduff GAA in association with North West Hospice and Tesco Carrick-on-Shannon are hosting a Family Fun Day. We invite you and your family to join us in our fundraising where you can make a donation or even sponsor a Hamper.
