Hundreds of Drivers Caught Speeding on National Slow Down Day

Gardai nationwide have so far caught 569 speeding drivers as part of National #Slowdown Day, a speed enforcement operation taking place in conjunction with the Road Safety Authority (RSA). 

The initiative, which will run until midnight tonight, aims to promote safer driving and reduce speed-related collisions throughout the country. 

With schools now back open following the summer break, roads are busier than ever. 

Gardai are therefore advising drivers to exercise caution and begin planning ahead to avoid any unnecessary speeding.
