Coleen Rooney shocks Ireland AM presenters with unusual work-out routine

Coleen Rooney, wife of iconic footballer Wayne Rooney, was the guest of honour on Virgin Media One's Ireland AM this morning, March 5. 

The businesswoman and mother of four spoke to hosts Karen Koster and Muireann O'Connell on all things life, love, and motherhood, while also throwing some humour into the mix! 

Coleen first rose to fame in the early 2000s, with many viewing her as the first ever football WAG (Wives and girlfriends of sports stars) due to her 20 year relationship with husband Wayne. But since then, the 38-year-old has forged her own path in terms of her career, having many business ventures and televisions appearances throughout the years. 

This includes last year's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! where the Liverpool woman stole the hearts of not just those in the UK, but Ireland too, due to how down-to-earth, funny, and helpful she was on the game show. This landed her in the final, where she was ultimately beaten out to the top spot by McFly's Danny Jones. 

After much chatting, Coleen went on to shock not just viewers, but also the hosts of Ireland AM as she got candid on every day life, including her unusual work-out routine that she does every morning, in the shower of all places!

Coleen said, "I do 60 squats and then 60 pulses, just so I know I've done something for that day. It's in my routine now and if I don't do them it plays on my mind. In the jungle, I used to just go out and find a spot where no one was and just squat and do them," she playfully explained.

When pressed by the interviewers as to why she chooses to do her morning work-out in the shower, Coleen gave a reply that every parent can sympathise with, saying, "I always do it in the shower because that is where I've got no kids, I'm on my own!" 

Many viewers took to social media to share their reactions to Coleen's interesting life-hack. 

One viewer hilariously commented, "She obviously has a big shower to go with her mansion, if I tried to squat in the shower I'd break two doors, tear a muscle, and knock myself out. Oh, and most likely wee myself a little bit."

While another person worried for her water bill, saying, "How long is her shower? I'm just thinking of the amount of water that is used." 

A third viewer was impressed with her TV appearance, stating, "She's a fabulous woman. Real down to earth lady."
