Gardaí seized an e-scooter as two teenagers were travelling on it on a main road

Gardaí have seized an e-scooter from teenagers as they were spotted travelling in the middle of a main road.

Sharing a post to X, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Bad buzz.

"Gardaí in Cork City pulled in the two teenagers that were travelling on this e-scooter in the middle of a main, public road this afternoon.

"It was seized and the owner given a €100 fine - €50 for carrying a passenger and €50 for having a seat on it."
