Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 16-year-old boy who has been reported as missing from his home in Dublin.

In their appeal, issued this Wednesday, they say Harun Ahmed, from Coolock, Dublin 17, is described as being approximately 5 feet 7 inches in height with a slim build with short black hair.

Gardaí, who have expressed concern for his wellbeing, say it's unknown what Harun was wearing when he went missing on Tuesday.
