Yesterday, Revenue officers seized approximately 30.2kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €603,000 at Dublin Airport.
The illicit drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack, in vacuum sealed packages in the baggage of a male passenger who disembarked a flight from Dubai.
A man in his 40’s was arrested by An Garda Síochána under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. This individual has since appeared before the courts.
Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
